Ingredients

This is an all natural herbal supplement which will definitely appeal to some people. It contains the active ingredients including Turmeric Rhizome Extract yielding 333mg curcuminoids, Bromelain and Black Pepper Extract. This is slightly disappointing as it is not standardized to contain 95% curcuminoids like our top products. Other inactive ingredients include: dibasic calcium phosphate, stearic acid, modified cellulose gum, silica and magnesium stearate.

Dosage

The manufacturer suggests that adults (and children 12 or more years of age) should take 1 to 3 tablets daily or as directed by a healthcare professional. We felt that taking 3 tablets a day seems a little excessive, especially when compared to other supplements on the market. One in the morning and one in the afternoon is sufficient. Perhaps it suggests three because the potency contained within these capsules is weak.

Side Effects

On its label, the caution reads: “If you are pregnant, may become pregnant, or breastfeeding, consult your healthcare professional before using this product. Do not use if either tamper-evident seal is broken or missing. Keep out of the reach of children.” Other than that, this product is considered safe for long term use without any side effects. Although it lists that it does not contain yeast, dairy, egg, gluten, soy, wheat and more, this manufacturer does not specifically state it is allergen-free so you may want to pay close attention to your response to this product if you do have a history of allergies.

Price

This product costs $17.98 for 50 capsules or $34.50 for 100 capsules. This is very inexpensive and makes us skeptical about the quality of the ingredients used. A good price is not the same as good quality. A lot of companies take shortcuts in quality control in order to reduce the price. This often results in a poor product and consumers not being happy with the results.

Guarantee

No clear information about a guarantee for this product was available online. It is disappointing that this product does not offer the security of a money back guarantee. People should be able to get a refund if a product does not work as promised. The lack of a guarantee is a big problem and makes us hesitant to endorse this product.

Conclusion

We would like to have seen this product contain turmeric root, preferably standardized to contain 95% curcuminoids, it does not, which is a big minus. The cost was relatively inexpensive in comparison with other similar products but we think that this is indicative of the lower quality and potency of the turmeric used in this product. Other areas of concern include the fact that there were no reviews found online, so we were unable to effectively establish consumers firsthand experiences with this product. When you couple the lack of reviews together with the lack of a clear product guarantee, as well as, the reduced quality of turmeric used, there are big risks for trying out this product. Furthermore, there are no indications about whether this product is FDA approved. For these reasons, we have to say that this is not one of the strongest options on the market, hence being placed as our #3 product.
