Introduction
This is a review of NutriDosha Turmeric Curcumin with BioPerine. Curcumin is the main component of turmeric, an ancient Indian spice, which has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for balancing and detoxifying benefits for many years. This company offers a premium Ayurvedic formula suggesting that this product balances your ‘doshas’ – Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Ingredients
This is a herbal supplement, not a medication. This can be a pro and a con — some people may prefer to take medications for their ailments, while others prefer to use natural treatment options. This product contains:
- Curcuma longa
- BioPerine
Other ingredients include:
- Hydroxpropyl methylcellulose
- Vegetable magnesium stearate
- Silicon dioxide
This product is free from the following:
- Artificial Colors, Flavors, Sweeteners, Preservatives, Sugar, Starch, Milk, Lactose, Soy, Gluten, Wheat, Yeast, Fish and Sodium.
Dosage
They suggest taking two capsules per day with a meal or as directed by a healthcare professional.
Side Effects
If you are pregnant or lactating or have any history of liver, gallbladder or gastrointestinal problems, you should consult a healthcare professional prior to use. Other than that, this product is safe for long term use. This product has no known or reported side effects. Though this product is labeled as allergen-free you should contact a doctor and stop use immediately if you experience any allergic reactions.
Price
There are no clear pricing details on this product’s website. However, we found this for sale on Amazon and it costs $37.50 for a 120 capsule bottle. This is fairly good value for money when compared to other products. However, while on the surface this seems like a good deal, we would liked to have seen some better pricing options for bulk buying. The 60 count was slightly cheaper than the 120 option.
Guarantee
No clear information about a guarantee for this product was available on its website, albeit on Amazon it offers a 60 day money back guarantee. This was discouraging as consumers want to feel confident in trying out a new product and if they can’t find a clear and easy money back guarantee, many consumers will shy away from purchasing this product. Many comparable products offer guarantees. Also, we found some reviews on their site, which were all positive, however, this is to be expected. We would be alarmed if we found negative reviews on its own website. When we checked Amazon Reviews, there were some, but really not so many. The ones that we did find were mainly positive. However, we would like to have seen more to ascertain stronger feedback from consumers.
Conclusion
The limited number of reviews for this product, together with the lack of a clear money back guarantee, lowered the appeal of this product. We were also slightly disappointed that the manufacturer does not offer discounts for bulk purchases. Its redeeming features however, include the fact that it is a high potency capsule, and it contains 95% standardized turmeric. We also could not identify if this was FDA approved dismayed us. For these reasons we had to place this in our #2 spot.
